Position Overview

We are seeking a Product Innovation Specialist based in China, dedicated to the Underwear, Seamless, and Apparel & Fashion sectors. This role is pivotal in merging creativity with manufacturing excellence, ensuring the delivery of superior, cost-efficient products that exceed brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in weekly fitting reviews and collaborative meetings with the US team.
  • Evaluate factory yarn selections and technical specifications.
  • Ensure uniformity in product samples prior to sending for fit evaluations.
  • Confirm that technical specifications and sample products align with new designs.
  • Coordinate and engage in fittings in China with local technicians to assess factory outputs.
  • Assist in the design and development of apparel and beauty products.
  • Support technical design and product development to enhance product ratings and meet fit criteria for private label items.
  • Monitor daily communications and track product development progress using project management tools.
  • Manage product expectations and clarify specifications for production, addressing any inconsistencies.
  • Develop and maintain fabric libraries and approved color palettes.
  • Ensure timely updates on processes and progress are communicated through collaboration tools.
  • Actively engage in team rituals to share insights and improve processes.
  • Support production by reviewing initial costing with manufacturing partners.
  • Maintain weekly updates on product development across all channels.
  • Collaborate with customer service to enhance the private label product experience.
  • Assist the Product Development Manager in brainstorming and presentation preparation.
  • Create comprehensive product development proposals for existing and new offerings.
  • Research competitive markets and suppliers for innovative enhancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in seamless apparel.
  • Analyze competitor offerings and provide actionable insights for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in intimates, seamless garments, or beauty products.
  • Proficient in English communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing private-label apparel or beauty products.
  • Ability to define and track timelines and activities.
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Capable of effective multitasking.
  • Experienced in data management and presentation preparation.
  • Understanding of the plus-size market with a commitment to empowering women.
  • Willingness to learn about beauty product development.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for technical design and product innovation.
