As a Metrology Engineer, you will be part of our team that develops and specifies new capable gauges to meet test requirements related to glass size, reliability, optical, mechanical, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey and develop/specify new capable gauges to meet test requirements.
  • Install/qualify new gauges/tests and release to production measurement.
  • Collaborate with partners to evaluate existing gauges test capabilities/capacities and continuously improve.
  • Develop engineering or operational work instructions for gauges.
  • Lead gauge studies (MSA) and gauge alignment with contract manufacturers or customers.
  • Work closely with software engineers to design gauge interfaces for operators and database for data users.
  • Develop data analysis capability and its formats, and data visualization reports for data end-users.
  • Ensure delivered measurement data are correct by collaborating with internal/external engineering teams and quality teams.
  • Design new fixtures for metrology tools.
  • Maintain metrology tools to ensure gauges are in correct state.

Requirements:

  • BS or Higher; Master is preferred.
  • Precise Instruments, Machine Vision, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Science related.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiar with Machine Vision is a plus.
  • Working experience in a test lab or inspection system development is a plus.
  • Familiar with Minitab is a plus.
  • Familiar with Matlab/Python is a plus.
