About the Role

Dow Chemical (China) Investment Company Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team in Shanghai. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting software solutions to meet business needs and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas
  • Work closely with business process teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders to design and build software objects that meet requirements
  • Document detailed designs
  • Build, test, and implement application objects
  • Assist with issue resolution
  • Ensure that functional and technical designs meet business requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or Software Development or relevant discipline
  • 2-3 years of software solution development experience
  • Proficient in English
  • General knowledge of Information technology work process, methodologies, and tools
  • Proficient knowledge in full-stack development (front-end and/or back-end development)
  • Participated in application development process from requirements through implementation
  • Familiarity with 1-2 coding languages and frameworks among: ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Frameworks, C#, AngularJS, MVC, JavaScript

Preferred Skills

  • Modern Web/Application Design (UI/UX) – Vue, Element Plus, Typescript
  • Good understanding of modern design patterns and testing approaches, including unit test, automation test, and integrated and performance testing principles and frameworks
  • Experience and/or interest in Content Management, Product Information Management, and B2B ecommerce; Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or SAP (Hybris) Commerce a plus
  • Agile/Scrum knowledge is beneficial
