About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at The LEGO Group. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in unlocking deeper insights and driving business decisions through data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Develop Data Solutions: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and configure end-to-end data applications that meet business needs.
  • Ensure Data Quality and Security: Engineer products that implement business logic, modern design patterns, and architectural principles, while ensuring the highest standards of security and data privacy.
  • Develop and Maintain Data Assets: Engineer products that follow highest coding standards, ensure product robustness and reliability, and improve operational efficiency by developing automation tools for daily tasks.
  • Drive Business Insights: Build efficient and optimal solutions by challenging ideas and opinions, and suggest and define future stories to support the Product Owner.
Requirements
  • Strong Data Science Skills: A proactive learner with a practitioner's approach to data science techniques and technology, including data wrangling, visualization, modeling, and programming.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and build trust.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in at least one programming language, with Python being a priority, and familiarity with data science tools and technologies, including experience with version control systems like git.
  • Collaborative Environment: A commitment to teamwork and a positive, influential presence within a collaborative environment.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in an agile development setting is preferred, and industry experience in retail or FMCG would be advantageous.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of data privacy, security, and relevant Chinese regulations is a plus.
  • International Experience: Overseas study or work experience, or experience working in a multinational company is a plus.
