Research Opportunities in Neuro-tronics Lab

Dr. Sung Il Park invites outstanding researchers to join the Neuro-tronics Lab at ShanghaiTech University. As a tenured Associate Professor in the School of Biomedical Engineering, Dr. Park is leading a research group focused on developing soft neural interface platforms for controlling neural interfaces and integrating data transmission, signal processing, and power management.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientists:
    • Design and implement experimental plans, conduct high-level scientific research, and publish academic papers.
    • Report work progress to PI and assist in laboratory construction.
    • Guide master's and doctoral students.
    • Complete tasks assigned by PI.
  • Research Assistant:
    • Participate in relevant scientific research work.
    • Assist in laboratory management, including equipment operation and maintenance, procurement, and safety.
    • Collect, sort, and archive documents, materials, and experimental data.
    • Assist in writing papers, funding applications, and other research documents.
Requirements:
  • Postdoctoral Research Associate/Scientists:
    • Doctorate in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
    • Expertise in device fabrication, characterization, material characterization, electromagnetic analysis, and/or circuit design.
    • Strong scientific research ability, learning ability, and interest in the research direction.
    • Strong communication and English writing skills.
  • Research Assistant:
    • Master's degree in science and engineering.
    • Strong sense of responsibility, good coordination and communication skills, and teamwork spirit.
    • Good English reading and writing skills.
    • Experience in hardware system development or signal processing is preferred.
