Immunology Research Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Immunology Research Scientist to join our team at Roche. As a key member of our immunology discovery team, you will play a critical role in driving the discovery and development of new therapeutic agents.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a team of immunology scientists and associates to provide expert biology support for preclinical and clinical studies.
- Contribute to new medical hypothesis, target validation, project initiation, and research plan execution.
- Design and implement in vitro and in vivo studies to study potency, selectivity, and molecular mechanism of drug action.
- Perform scientific analysis and present results collaboratively.
- Initiate and execute research activities related to novel therapeutic targets and compounds.
- Investigate and develop methods or technologies for rapid project advancement.
- Prepare standard operational protocols, study reports, and high-quality manuscripts.
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD in immunology, nephrology, rheumatology, or a related field. Post-doctoral training experience is preferred. Industrial experience in drug discovery is a plus. Overseas education and/or training experience is also preferred.
Leadership Competencies- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to train junior level associates and/or scientists.
- Deep knowledge of immunology.
- Disease biology of the gut, kidneys, and connective tissues.
- Proficiency in designing and conducting experiments involving state-of-the-art techniques.
- Ability to understand chemistry and DMPK results.
- Recognition of novelty of patentable ideas.
- Contribution to scientific publications.
- Good communication in English and ability to present results.
