HVDC Control & Protection System Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled HVDC Control & Protection System Engineer to join our team at HITACHI ENERGY POWER SYSTEM CO., LTD. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the software application conceptual design, detailed development, testing, and commissioning of the HVDC Control & Protection System, focusing on Automation and Digitization areas.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Support HVDC Control & Protection System conceptual design from software application design perspective.
  • Perform detailed application development of HVDC Control & Protection System dedicated in one of the following areas: Automation and Digitization, Database and Server, Human Machine Interface, Station Control, Supervision and Monitoring, Operating System Localization, HVDC control and Protection.
  • Implement software functions with specific software design tools.
  • Contribute to conceptual design & software design documentation for internal and external purposes.
  • Provide technical support to hardware-in-the-loop tests of HVDC Control & Protection System (both in the company and the customer facility) from software perspective.
  • Participate in site installation support, commissioning, sub-system test, and system test of HVDC Control & Protection System.
  • Offer technical support to Marketing and Sales from software design perspective, especially the support to the tenders.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service from software design perspective, including customer meetings, on-site fault analysis, customer trainings, and maintenance outages, etc.
