Job Summary

As a Packaging Solutions Developer at Vantiva, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom packaging solutions that meet our high standards of quality and sustainability. You will work closely with our mechanical, industrial, and hardware teams to ensure that our packaging designs are efficient, cost-effective, and meet all technical specifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom packaging solutions that meet our quality and sustainability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that packaging designs are efficient, cost-effective, and meet all technical specifications.
  • Work with packaging suppliers to optimize packaging materials and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that packaging components meet required technical specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the development of Vantiva's quality standards and design guidelines.
  • Provide technical expertise on packaging solutions to all parts of the business.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Packaging Science or equivalent degree.
  • 3-10 years of relevant experience in packaging design and palletization of products.
  • Good knowledge of packaging design using RSC, D/C, and other FEFCO styles for single, multiple, and unitized loads.
  • Good knowledge of packaging materials, specifically corrugated papers and print-suitable liners.
  • Good knowledge of packaging manufacturing techniques.
  • Experience with eco-design principles, including SUP-free design, FSC materials, mineral-free inks, and reduced paper solutions.
  • Experience with palletization solutions that maximize density, minimize cost, and ensure efficient transit.
  • Appreciation of warehousing, logistics, racking, and barcode scanning.
  • Understanding and/or experience of packaging testing in accordance with ISO/ASTM/ISTA requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of standard office computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (oral and written).
