Business Intelligence Expert - Consultant for Strategic Risk Assessment

Control Risks seeks a highly skilled Business Intelligence Expert to join our China-based team. As a trusted advisor to leading Fortune 500 companies, financial institutions, and law firms, you will play a critical role in helping our clients navigate complex business environments.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing market landscapes, evaluating local partners and investments, and mapping sources of reputational and integrity risk.
  • Conducting investigations to help clients respond to internal and external threats, including resolving disputes and maximizing market opportunities.
  • Producing clear, analytical, and well-written reports that effectively communicate complex findings and concepts to clients.

As a Business Intelligence Expert, you will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, will enable you to make a significant impact in this role.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in business intelligence, risk assessment, or a related field. You should have excellent command of Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to write clearly and analytically to a high standard in English. At least five years of relevant experience is required, as well as proficiency in conducting independent OSINT and public record research.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Excellent command of Mandarin Chinese and English languages.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in consulting, financial services, journalism, or research-driven roles.
  • Substantial knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient in conducting independent OSINT and public record research.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
