Data Center Technical Support Specialist

About the Role
The Facility Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to Data Center Engineering Operations within data centers. Key responsibilities include risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of data center infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the on-site management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring work is performed in accordance with established practices, procedures, and local legislation.
- Support performance benchmarks establishment, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on data center facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate change management requests and incident management tickets for DCEO activities.
- Work with DCO managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
- Establish documentation relevant to technical support of business and facility operations.
- Support the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling.
- Support COLO management of routine maintenance and emergency services on essential systems.
- Assist in design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
- Drive and implement projects to increase current facility capacity, efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
- Support operating partners in resolving infrastructure engineering issues.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant work experience in maintaining a DC or Critical space facility.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Facilities Management skills.
- Ability to prioritize in complex, fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
- Mission Critical facility management experience for a large enterprise or Colocation provider.
- Experience in managing vendors/contractors performing construction, maintenance, and upgrading works in large-scale critical environments.
- Data center Project Management/capacity planning and budgetary experience.
- Knowledge in IT services such as servers, network, cabling, and platform.
- Appropriate Security and Safety awareness.
