Position Overview

As a Data Solutions Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the data landscape at DBS Bank. Your expertise will be pivotal in designing and optimizing data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Develop data mart solutions within a big data environment to effectively store and manage organizational data.
  • Requirements Analysis: Assess and analyze requests for enhancements to existing data mart functionalities.
  • Data Migration: Transition data analysis processes from outdated systems to modern big data platforms.
  • Model Development: Create conceptual and logical data models along with flowcharts to illustrate data processes.
  • Performance Improvement: Enhance system performance through rigorous testing, troubleshooting, and the integration of new components.
  • Optimization: Fine-tune the performance of Spark jobs within the big data framework.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with business units to identify and address future data needs and requirements.
  • Operational Support: Provide ongoing support for Management Information Systems (MIS) to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in roles such as Data Architect, Data Scientist, or Data Analyst.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of big data technologies and associated systems.
  • Familiarity with data mining and segmentation methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark, and Hive.
  • Experience with data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
