Job Title: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Valmet is a global leader in developing and supplying technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy industries. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team in Shanghai, China.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and supervise the implementation of quality management systems to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Coordinate with departments to prepare and update documents in accordance with system requirements and operation practices.
  • Plan, initiate, and lead internal and external audits to ensure quality management system requirements are met.
  • Follow up on audit findings, ensure corrective actions are taken, and conduct root cause analysis for critical issues.
  • Collect and follow up on site and internal feedback, ensuring timely handling and root cause analysis for major quality feedbacks.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives through sections, seeking opportunities from quality system running, audits, internal and external feedback, and quality cost analysis.
  • Lead and develop quality lean projects and digital and intelligent development initiatives.
  • Participate in setting up and updating quality and technical requirements and standards, working with quality control and production to ensure implementation.
  • Initiate quality assurance plans according to project requirements, update, and follow up to ensure best practices are followed.
  • Maintain pressure vessel and welding systems, ensuring manufacturing processes and quality control meet related requirements.
  • Manage measuring tools and devices, ensuring they are in good condition and precision according to QMS and pressure vessel quality assurance system.
  • Follow up, update, and report department KPIs regularly.
  • Manage and develop subordinates to ensure QA and department targets are met.
Requirements:
  • Good communication skills in English and Chinese languages.
  • College degree or above, with more than 5 years of working experience in the Mechanical industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, knowledge of HSE, pressure vessel, and welding systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with QC tools.
  • Experience in Lean or 6 Sigma, leading a project is preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment for the pulp and paper industry is preferred.
  • Any skills in participating in the process of ERP, MRP will be a plus.
  • Management skills for small teams will be a plus.
