About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Shanghai, China. As a key member of our global accounting team, you will be responsible for managing financial accounts, providing analytical support, and participating in strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage operational accounting for multiple countries, including day-to-day management of financial accounts, indirect tax support, and annual audit support.
  • Own CN accounting/compliance and build/maintain relationships with Amazon Finance, Legal, Accounting, and Tax teams.
  • Support ongoing financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting.
  • Perform deep dive analysis to understand drivers of business.
  • Work with other teams to ensure our financial reporting is in sync with other systems.
  • Participate in business improvement processes to grow the business.
  • Support tax teams by providing audited Financial Statements, other documents for tax compliance.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Degree in accounting or related field with sufficient experience to sit for the CPA exam (a CPA license is not required for this position)
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools and other financial systems
  • Experience with startup, entrepreneurship
