About the Greater Tumen Initiative

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) supports intergovernmental cooperation in Northeast Asia through the Greater Tumen Initiative (GTI). The GTI aims to strengthen economic and technical cooperation, promoting growth and sustainable development in the region.

Job Overview

This internship is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the success of the GTI. Under the supervision of the Finance and Admin Associate, you will assist in coordinating events, communicating with stakeholders, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for GTI events, including annual meetings and workshops;
  • Communicate with suppliers and meeting participants;
  • Support programme officers in preparing meeting materials and minutes;
  • Assist in research report preparation and compilation;
  • Provide administration support, including travel arrangements and procurement assistance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in international economy, public administration, English interpretation, or International Relations;
  • Experience in event organization or programme assistance, preferably with international organizations;
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office;
  • Fluency in English, with skillful language skills in Chinese or French an asset;
  • Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: enrolled in a Master's or PhD programme, in the final year of a Bachelor's programme, within one year after graduation from a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD programme, or enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program.
