About the Role

This internship opportunity is available at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a leading international organization dedicated to eradicating poverty, reducing inequalities, and improving living standards globally.

The successful candidate will be part of the Greater Tumen Initiative team, which aims to promote economic cooperation, peace, and sustainable development in Northeast Asia. The intern will work closely with the Finance and Admin Associate to coordinate events, prepare research reports, and support administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Events Organization:
    • Manage logistics for GTI events, including annual meetings, workshops, and seminars.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, participants, and hosting parties for smooth event execution.
    • Support programme officers in preparing meeting materials, minutes, and e-newsletters.
  • Research Support:
    • Assist in preparing research reports and compiling relevant materials.
    • Contribute to written internal reports as needed.
  • Administration Support:
    • Make travel arrangements for staff members, including visa, flights, and accommodations.
    • Support office operational procurement when necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
    • Minimum secondary education, preferably with a Bachelor's degree in international economy, public administration, or related fields.
    • Experience in event organization, programme assistance, or research support, preferably with international organizations.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
    • Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of Northeast Asia, particularly GTI activities, is an asset.
    • Proficiency in English, with Chinese or French language skills an advantage.
