The Public Sector Clients Department, Region 2 (PSC2) plays a crucial role in identifying, originating, preparing, executing, and investing in projects with public sector clients across various sectors.
As a Senior Investment Officer, you will be responsible for the origination, structuring, and execution of infrastructure-related public sector transactions, focusing on urban development, water supply and sanitation, and/or water resource management subsectors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating economic, financial, technical, legal, environmental, and social issues, and ensuring mitigants are incorporated into the financing structure and legal documentation.
- Oversighting the implementation of AIIB's investment operations to enhance quality and accelerate project implementation.
- Leading or participating in dialogue with clients, co-financing partners, and other stakeholders on strategic issues and the implementation of AIIB's investments.
- Advising clients on the preparation of technical and feasibility studies and technical design of projects.
- Conducting project risk assessments and advising project teams on mitigation strategies.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience in urban development, water supply and sanitation, and/or water resource management.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing projects, including the integration of nature-based solutions.
- Proven experience in structuring and managing climate finance projects for resilient water supply, sanitation, and water resource management infrastructure projects and programs.
