About Your Role
To lead a team of financial professionals to manage all financial and accounting functions in inventory, cost management analysis, and assist in related financial reporting for one site with an annual sales of US$ 250 million.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of supervisors, accountants, and assistant accountants to ensure high accuracy of current costing, inventory evaluation, and related processes.
- Coordinate with all process owners and teams to ensure all data are interfaced to the costing team on time, reconciled, and accurate.
- Responsible for analysis of variances in manufacturing costs, material costs, cost of goods sold (COGS) against budget and forecast on a monthly basis after month-end closing.
- Support the finance department and senior management in the construction of annual operating plans (AOP) in terms of operating expenses budget collection and subsequent justification analysis.
- Support monthly and quarterly forecasting in projecting inventory balances and impacts on the balance sheet and income statement.
- Coordinate with toll manufacturing facilities to ensure proper cut-off, inventory controls, and timely reporting are in place.
- Ensure related financial reports are completed accurately to comply with local and US statutory requirements on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis.
- Oversee and implement financial and internal controls, including SOX and internal financial policy requirements within the costing and inventory control process.
- Complete any ad-hoc assignments instructed by management or directors.
Requirements
- Degree holder with a major in accounting or finance, or certified public accountant.
- Fluent in English and Chinese.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience in multinational manufacturing companies or audit firms.
- Proficiency in Excel is a must.
- Experience in analysis and management accounting is preferred.
- Good grasp of internal controls, Sarbanes-Oxley exposure is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft, Hyperion, or ERP system Oracle is preferred.
- Mature, self-motivated, independent, and a good team player.
- Able to work overtime and under pressure with minimum supervision and keen to meet deadlines.
- Possesses good analytical skills and keen on identifying, supporting, and driving for continuous improvement to existing processes.
- Willing to travel to Hong Kong and mainland China.
