About the Role

As a Software Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software applications to meet AIA's business needs. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions that meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications using cloud platforms, Linux/Windows/Unix platforms, and web/mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and develop technical specifications.
  • Perform programming, unit testing, and system integration testing to ensure high-quality software applications.
  • Mentor and support information engineers for system development.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Professional degree in Computer Science or IT-related field.
  • Dedicated experience in related language or platform: Cloud platforms, Linux/Windows/Unix platforms, Web/mobile applications.
  • 2+ years of database and SQL experience (DB2 and Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Software development process (SDLC).
  • Good command of both written and spoken English.
  • Hard-working person and quick learner.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in insurance is preferable.
