Position Overview:
This role centers on spearheading the creation of engineering solutions that foster customer engagement and enhance design-win success for the organization. It necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the functionality and application of the company's products within customer systems. Additionally, the position entails overseeing testing and datasheet-related activities essential for launching new products into the market. Other responsibilities include developing, refining, and sustaining testing methodologies, as well as providing test-related assistance and support to both internal and external clients, including addressing customer inquiries and complaints, and creating promotional literature for new products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct the product application team.
• The team focuses on defining the requirements for IGBT products and technology platforms from a technical perspective.
• Analyze market conditions to influence critical business decisions regarding new products and targeted end applications.
• Offer support to customers throughout all stages of the design process, including evaluation, design-in, and production phases. Assist with the utilization of reference designs.
• Comprehend customer requests and contribute to the new product enhancement process.
• Provide assistance to the market, aiding in product development, board bring-up, software development, and system-level debugging to ensure successful product launches.
• Develop reference designs across various strategic domains, write application notes and white papers, and conduct technical feasibility studies on key functions.
• Establish management processes and policies to ensure efficient and safe laboratory operations.
Skills / Competencies:
(Top 3-7 critical competencies required for the role):
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering with over 3 years of experience; a specialization in power electronics is preferred.
• Proficient in power electronics applications, testing equipment, and designing test programs.
• Strong technical writing skills for creating application notes, white papers, and user guides/reference manuals.
• Experience leading hardware teams to develop evaluation board reference designs and validation boards for new integrated circuits.
• Proficient computer skills (e.g., using Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual for data analysis and report preparation).
• Strong command of the English language.
• Highly self-motivated, innovative, and capable of completing tasks independently.
• A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with individuals from diverse functions and cultures to achieve objectives.
Job Specifications:
• Initiative-driven, curious, eager to learn, and adaptable in the subjects they engage with.
• General engineering experience required: over 3 years in electronics.
• Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
