Job Summary

World Resources Institute (WRI) is seeking a highly skilled Research Analyst to join its China Office. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing WRI's food and natural resources projects, with a focus on global green supply chain research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct research on green supply chain projects, analyzing policies and practices in the food system.
  • Collaborate with WRI Global and China teams to draft knowledge products in English and Chinese, and coordinate publication processes.
  • Work closely with global and local experts to deliver projects, including coordinating meetings, tracking progress, and managing finances.
  • Assist with administrative and project management tasks as needed.
  • Support fundraising efforts for the program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in agriculture, food, environment, land use, or nature resources, or a related field. A PhD is an asset.
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience in agriculture, food, environment, or land use, with a focus on supply chains.
  • Strong research, analytical, writing, and presentation skills, with experience in modeling and programming a plus.
  • Ability to work well in a team, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.
