About the Role

As Country HR Head, you will be the HR Business Leader and Country Duty Holder for GSK China, accountable for designing and delivering HR strategies that support business priorities. You will also be responsible for all HR-related matters, including union negotiation, talent management, and HR governance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure license to operate by managing risk and governance internally and influencing other HR functions to ensure that HR-related activities have the required governance oversight.
  • Provide business partnership to the General Manager and China Leadership Team to support business strategies and drive performance, including effective talent management, leadership development, culture development, organization transformation, and capabilities building.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to support the deployment of strategic HR initiatives from global and region.
  • Leverage data and insights to identify key HR trends and provide inputs to business strategies.
  • Engage and inspire the HR team, develop HR capabilities, build HR succession pipelines, and improve HR efficiency and effectiveness continuously.
About You
  • Leadership experience at a country leadership team level and extensive experience in leading teams directly to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • HR expertise in Culture, Capability, and Talent Management.
  • Ability and confidence to influence and challenge with experience in leading change initiatives.
  • Extensive experience within fast-moving, complex, and demanding environments where a breadth of operational issues is handled, and with a need to multi-task and deal with ambiguity.
  • Experience working in a highly complex organization within a matrixed structure, leveraging influence within a complex network of stakeholders, including senior business leaders.
  • Experience of establishing and executing efficient and flexible operational processes that deliver customer requirements and the HR agenda.
  • Good understanding of local business needs and business environment with experience in translating these into HR plans and solutions.
  • The ability to communicate vision, strategy, and direction in an inspiring and credible manner, both internally and externally.
