Position Overview:
This role is centered on spearheading the creation of engineering solutions that foster customer interaction and enhance design-win success for the organization. It necessitates a comprehensive understanding of the functionality and application of the company's products within customer systems. Additionally, the position is accountable for testing and datasheet-related activities essential for the market introduction of new products. Responsibilities also include the development, enhancement, and maintenance of testing methodologies, as well as providing test-related support to both internal and external clients, including assistance with customer inquiries and promotional materials for new products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the product application team.
- Define the requirements for IGBT products and technology platforms from a technical perspective.
- Analyze market conditions to inform critical business decisions regarding new products and targeted end applications.
- Support customers throughout all stages of the design process, including evaluation, design-in, and production, while also providing guidance on the use of reference designs.
- Interpret customer requests and engage in the new product enhancement process.
- Assist the market by supporting product development, board bring-up, software development, and system-level debugging to ensure successful product launches.
- Create reference designs across various strategic domains, write application notes and white papers, and conduct technical feasibility studies on key functions.
- Establish management processes and policies to facilitate efficient and safe laboratory operations.
Skills / Competencies:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering with over 3 years of experience, preferably with a focus on power electronics.
- Experience in power electronics applications, testing equipment, and designing test programs.
- Proficient technical writing skills for the creation of application notes, white papers, and user guides/reference manuals.
- Ability to lead hardware teams in developing evaluation board reference designs and validation boards for new integrated circuits.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Visual for data analysis and report preparation.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Highly self-motivated, innovative, and capable of working independently.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills, able to work effectively with individuals from diverse functions and cultures to achieve objectives.
Job Specifications:
- Demonstrates initiative, curiosity, a willingness to learn, and flexibility in subject matter.
- General engineering experience required: over 3 years in electronics.
- Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
