Job Title: Insurance Specialist Shanghai China

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team at HSBC, a leading global banking and financial services organization. As an Insurance Specialist in Shanghai, China, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional client experiences and providing needs-based solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct product training to support new product launches and lead client education events to enhance client knowledge of financial markets and solutions.
  • Follow the needs-based sales process to deliver a strong client experience and provide tailored solutions.
  • Support Relationship Managers (RMs) in building client trust and deepening relationships with HSBC, increasing the effectiveness and quality of needs fulfilled for target clients.
  • Strengthen HSBC's image as a leading wealth provider by providing clients with access to advanced technical product expertise.
  • Conduct portfolio reviews with RMs, assess product suitability, and identify opportunities and manage risks.
  • Join RMs in meeting clients and provide advice and input based on technical knowledge, acting as a second point of contact for specific products and solutions.
  • Complete transactions independently for clients with only insurance needs.
  • Improve RMs' product-specific technical knowledge through effective on-job coaching and training.
Requirements:
  • Minimum six years of working experience as a product specialist or financial advisor or at least one year of working experience as Sub-branch Manager in Wealth and Personal Banking.
  • Strong client skills with the ability to deliver a strong client experience and provide needs-based solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of specific complex financial solutions and products, including knowledge of financial markets, social-economic dynamics, and regulatory requirements relevant to the products.
  • Extensive external market awareness of market conditions, new product solutions, and an understanding of current financial market activities.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience to correctly identify client needs.
  • Solid skills to manage consultative sales processes.
  • A solid understanding of global Anti-money Laundering standards.
  • Team player with collaborative skills.
  • Knowledge of local and Group compliance regulations.
  • Specialisation in one or more product categories, such as Estate Planning, Retirement, Protection, or Education.
