Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Software Engineer to join our Linux team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with other experts to design and implement systems that manage our infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing infrastructure management systems using Python.
  • Contributing to open-source projects and collaborating with upstream repositories.
  • Modeling, provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of infrastructure components.
  • Splitting your time between development and operational tasks, with a focus on automation and problem-solving.
  • Participating in a daily rotation schedule to monitor dashboards and assist with incident response.
  • Joining our on-call rotation to ensure seamless infrastructure operations.

Some examples of day-to-day tasks include:

  • Writing and reviewing code with your team.
  • Provisioning servers through our automated deployment pipeline.
  • Applying configuration changes to our infrastructure.
  • Debugging production issues.
  • Supporting Developers and Operations teams.
  • Planning and coordinating changes in our infrastructure with other teams.

We are currently working on several exciting projects, including:

  • Deploying a system that describes our infrastructure.
  • Implementing an image-based server deployment system.
  • Automating network device provisioning and configuration management.
  • Migrating scripts to Python code with CI/CD.

  • Experience with real-life infrastructure.

  • Experience building Python tools for infrastructure automation.
  • High attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Experience with configuration management and declarative systems.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies, networking, and bare metal server management.
