Adjunct Faculty

Employment Opportunity:

Concordia University, Irvine is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach courses in Economics, Finance, and Accounting at our partner institution, Zhejiang Financial College in China.

About the Position:

This is a unique opportunity to teach in a dual degree program with a prestigious Chinese university. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for instructing students in Economics, Finance, and Accounting courses, and will work closely with Concordia University administration and faculty to ensure the success of the program.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct two or three sections of Economics, Finance, and Accounting courses
• Complete and report student grades or assessments to Concordia University
• Represent Concordia University to students, staff, and faculty at the Chinese partner institution
• Frequently communicate with Concordia University administration, faculty, and staff to service the dual degree program students

Requirements:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Three years of experience teaching Economics, Finance, and Accounting courses to college or high school students
• Ability to teach in English or Mandarin; Mandarin is not required but helpful

Benefits:

Adjunct pay based on experience and qualifications linked to total course hours per section. Travel to China and related expenses will be paid for by Concordia University. Zhejiang Financial College will provide a one-bedroom or shared apartment, and lunch on campus.
