Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues to resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.
- Identify and locate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs for buildings.
- Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
- Display basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories, including air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Perform surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall and wood trim repair.
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
- Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and external landscaping sprinklers.
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move equipment as needed.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
