Global Internship Program:

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Labcorp 2025 Global Internship Program as a Scientific Research Assistant. As a member of our team, you will have the chance to support meaningful assignments that align with your education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Business, and Sales.

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Learns how to perform instrument maintenance following standard operating procedures.
  • Learns the procedure of new instrument installation and qualification.
  • Knows the basic procedure of troubleshooting instruments and understands the basic principles of laboratory testing.
  • Knows the basic laboratory quality management system.
  • Knows the principle of each assay and related clinical significance.
  • Learns laboratory standard operating procedures and related documents.
  • Knows the laboratory workflow for sample testing, including pre and post testing.
  • Knows laboratory reporting procedures and assists in checking and verifying data.
  • Learns archiving procedures and works with laboratory staff to complete archiving tasks.
  • Maintains a clean and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or above in clinical laboratory or related scientific field.
  • Experience may be substituted for education.
  • Ability to perform basic computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • With good job responsibility, carefulness, patience, and earnestness.
