Job Title: Site Production Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Production Engineer to join our team at Amazon Innovation Center (Shenzhen) Company Limited - O82. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing, planning, directing, and coordinating activities that support contractor/suppliers and the manufacturing process for our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase production efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with the quality department to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements.
  • Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Develop and implement production processes for products, product enhancements, and product changes.
  • Minimize overall production costs while maximizing productivity.
  • Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data, information, and trends to management.
  • Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, and orders.
  • Source new equipment and material suppliers as required.
  • Support and review process engineering change notice (ECN) and related Material Review Board (MRB) activities.
  • Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products.
  • Review contractor/supplier's operational facility layouts for process improvement.
  • Organize and Support the Manufacturing/Quality System.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 8 years of manufacturing/production engineering experience, with specific experience in electronic devices.
  • Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
  • Dedicated in using process-driven and analytical approaches to problem-solving like Six Sigma, 8D, FMEA, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with basic web-based tools and products like Outlook, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
  • Experience of Six Sigma/Lean analytical techniques.
  • Experience leading process improvements.
  • Demonstrated technical skills and experience, preferably in wearable device, smart phone, personal computer, consumer electronics, networking, or other technology-based industry sector.
  • Understanding of both ME and EE, including RF/Wireless technology of the product, able to deeply discuss technical issues with engineering teams of CM's factory.
  • Fluent English speaking, listening, writing, reading.
