Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary

The Logistics Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various logistics functions related to the movement of cargo internationally. This includes supporting container forecast processes, working with vendors and carriers for on-time bookings and releases, and reporting on cargo status. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with other Business Units teams, logistics teams at origin and in the US, ocean carriers, and booking agents.

Key Responsibilities

• Review Open PO reports to discuss consolidation plans with supply chain and suppliers.
• Monitor vendor on-time FCL bookings and verify booking details.
• Review vessel schedules and verify exceptions with vendors and booking agencies.
• Coordinate space allocation and communicate with Freight forwarders, corporate logistics teams, suppliers, and supply chain to confirm space or resolve container space and equipment shortage issues.
• Check daily/weekly reports with PO priorities and ensure vessel schedules align with required ETAs.
• Control container plans to achieve reasonable container utilization and save ocean costs.
• Confirm shipping plans and work with Freight forwarders and Planners to resolve special vessel schedules.
• Coordinate shipments with suppliers and monitor on-time delivery.
• Verify supplier invoices and packing lists for discrepancies.
• Track shipments until cargo is on board or received by the warehouse.
• Support destination teams to resolve receipt issues.
• Monitor shipment ASN triggers and check ASN accuracy.
• Notify Planners and Supply Chain/Merchandising teams of container status updates.
• Collect and calculate container forecasts and send to corporate logistics teams biweekly.
• Work with corporate logistics teams on carrier and lane set-ups.
• Provide onboarding training for new suppliers.
• Calculate dead freight and team trucker fees, and charge back from suppliers if necessary.
• Perform data entry and filing tasks.
• Review supplier logistics performance and attend quarterly KPI meetings.
• Update LDN reports to US teams.
• Monitor booking agency performance and drive for improvement.
• Attend weekly meetings with Planners for daily space status.
• Support other region shipments.
• Act as a backup for team members when they are absent.
