Join Our Team as a Startup Engineer

We're looking for a skilled Startup Engineer to join our team at the Voith Group. As a Startup Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the commissioning and optimization of our paper mill production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and perform commissioning of components and overall plants (PM and components).
  • Collaborate in documenting commissioning-related compliance: acceptance, hand-over, production, and quality compliance.
  • Prepare commissioning/optimization documents: daily/weekly commissioning reports, punch lists, production executive reports, etc.
  • Provide production support: stabilization, optimization activities after startup.
  • Collect machine running reference data to support reference management machine building up.
  • Deliver lessons learned from project execution to internal project teams.
  • Support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) for function and logic checkout.
  • Collaborate in training customer personnel and perform problem-solving actions (troubleshooting).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master of Pulp and Papermaking or related.
  • 2-5 years of experience in paper mill production.
  • Familiarity with paper production processes and technology, with a focus on board/package/graphic with big paper machines.
  • Skilled in tail threading and wet end processes.
  • Ability to evaluate paper quality.
  • Familiarity with DCS and MCS operation.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Good communication skills.
