We are currently seeking a Site Procurement Manager to oversee our operations. This role will be pivotal in managing local procurement activities and ensuring alignment with global strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for the local procurement volume and will play a key role in innovation projects and category management.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the Site's procurement unit and manage local purchasing volumes while supporting negotiations with key suppliers for strategically important local agreements. Implement the Global Procurement strategy locally, ensuring optimal conditions and maximum value from procurement activities. Facilitate local innovation efforts through the Procurement Project Leader role, ensuring that procurement-related innovation targets are met consistently. Contribute to the development and execution of global category strategies as a Strategic Purchaser, including creating local sourcing solutions when necessary. Define and lead the Site procurement organization, focusing on staffing, employee development, and aligning targets with business needs. Manage the cost center and budget planning in collaboration with the Controlling function, ensuring procurement contributes positively to the Site's financial performance. Ensure compliance with global and local policies, regulations, and standards, maintaining consistent reporting and performance management in line with global benchmarks. Collaborate on effective vendor management practices in accordance with Global Vendor Management, enhancing procurement contributions to innovation projects. Act as a Business Partner, promoting procurement to local management and representing the function in external organizations. Engage in cross-functional initiatives to optimize suppliers, materials, processes, and services, driving continuous improvement within the Site.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong leadership abilities with a proactive approach to decision-making and team supervision. Excellent teamwork skills, fostering collaboration and support among team members. Integrity and adherence to Marel's ethical standards and values. Effective communication skills for engaging with internal and external stakeholders, with strong presentation capabilities. Analytical mindset, capable of interpreting data to inform decisions. Highly organized and detail-oriented, focused on meeting customer expectations. Resilience under pressure, adaptable to organizational changes. Driven to achieve both personal and organizational objectives. Proven ethical conduct in professional settings. Familiarity with SAP R3. Proficient in advanced procurement tools and techniques.

Education and Experience

University degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. At least 5 years of experience in strategic and operational procurement, with cross-functional exposure. Advanced knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes in a similar technical environment. Experience in project and strategic procurement management in comparable settings. Strong English proficiency, both written and verbal. Experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary organizations.
