Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary

The Chief Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions and reports for the Hyatt Corporation. This includes:

• Ensuring all disbursements and claims are supported by necessary documents and processed in a timely manner.
• Maintaining and recording all general ledger accounts, ensuring that all sub-ledgers agree with the general ledger.
• Verifying all monthly journals prepared by Accounts Clerks and preparing monthly journal entries as assigned.
• Posting all monthly-approved journal entries and preparing and maintaining schedules and analyses for all accounts.
• Preparing bank reconciliation statements for all banks and assisting the Director of Finance in the preparation and distribution of all monthly financial reports and analysis.
• Ensuring all journals and related financial reports are properly filed for future reference and assisting in implementing and streamlining internal control procedures.
• Responding to queries and providing support details regarding financial statements to Head of Divisions and Departments.
• Maximizing employee productivity through the use of multi-skilling, multi-tasking, and flexible scheduling to meet financial goals and guest expectations.
• Directing employees to ensure productivity meets standards given in accordance with Hyatt Design Standards and Criteria and the Hyatt International Finance Operations Manual.
• Focusing attention on improving productivity levels and prudently managing utility/payroll costs within acceptable guidelines.
• Ensuring new technology and equipment are embraced, improving productivity while taking work out of the system.
• Ensuring adherence to all hotel, company, and local rules, policies, and regulations relating to financial record keeping, money handling, and licensing.
