Salary

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a clothing budget to showcase your personal style while representing G-Star RAW.


Job Description

As a Fabric & Garment Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistency of fabric and treatment quality throughout the product development and production stages. You will work closely with our QA colleagues in G-Star Shanghai office to maintain technical parameters and testing standards of G-Star products.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement quality management and audit policies with fabric mills and garment suppliers to safeguard G-Star product quality standard during R&D and production stages.
  • Work closely with fabric mills and garment suppliers to implement material and product testing procedures during R&D and production stages.
  • Verify and document FTDS (Fabric Technical Data Sheet) and test reports prior to SMS development and production.
  • Monitor fabric stretch and fabric shrinkage from SMS to bulk to deliver consistent results on measurements in production.
  • Perform risk assessment on fabric and garment treatments and communicate risk factors and possible corrective solutions to relevant parties.
  • Ensure process control in place to avoid quality problems due to critical fabric and garment treatments during R&D and production.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in textile technology or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in technical field.
  • Well-educated and relevant experience on fabric and garment processing techniques (wet & dry processing).
  • Experience with system administration such as PLM, MS Office.
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze and create reports from various data sources.
  • Pro-active, structured working method and excellent communication skills.
