The Role

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality of software for the next generation of Autonomous Production Optimization solutions for the petroleum refining and petrochemical industries.

Your Impact

  • Be part of the software quality team, proactively and closely work with Shanghai and other offices' teams to complete assignments with low complexity and risk, under the supervision and daily guidance of manager and senior members of the team.
  • Understand basic product features, execute automated or manual test cases (mainly on regression cases) and submit testing results to ensure testing coverage and product quality. Be able to identify product defects and create test cases with the assistance from senior members of the team.
  • Aware of SDLC and cooperate activities within Quality department to prevent milestones slippage for major release. Report information to manager.

What You'll Need

  • 0-1 years' working experience in chemical or software industry; with a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Storage and Transportation Engineering, Computer Science or related majors.
  • Good spoken and written English skill.
  • Having experience of using industry software is preferred.
  • Having software testing experience is preferred.
  • Experience with any of C#, Python other programming languages is desired.
  • Quick learner for either product knowledge or automation testing.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
