The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) is a higher education institution cooperatively-run between the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
With a campus covering an area of about 111.3 hectares, located at Nansha District, Guangzhou, HKUST(GZ) comprises four Hubs, namely Function Hub, Information Hub, Systems Hub, Society Hub and offers 15 postgraduate degrees.
The intended areas of focus in the GZ Campus will be thematic and cross-disciplinary in nature, synergistic with HKUST without overlapping academic degrees or structures.
We are seeking Professor/Senior Lecturer in Innovation, Policy and Entrepreneurship to join our faculty.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time faculty position that aims to conduct cutting-edging research and disseminate knowledge to assist economic and social development of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) and beyond.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as contribute to departmental service and administration.
The research areas include but not limited to: Science and Technology Policy, Digital Governance and Technology Platform Management, Business and Entrepreneurial Studies, Innovation and Creativity, Data Analytics and AI Use for Policy Studies, Technology and Social Development.
Requirements- A PhD degree in relevant fields.
- Demonstrated teaching record, commitment, experience, readiness in cross-disciplinary curriculum and program design.
- Proven track record of publishing high-quality research papers in top-tier journals.
The salary is highly competitive of international standard and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Generous research funds, ample laboratory space and excellent research equipment and support will be provided.
Appointment to Professor rank and some Associate Professor rank will be made on a substantive basis with tenure while initial appointment to other tenure-track faculty ranks will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to six years.
