Digital Engineering Specialist

About the Role:
Rambus is seeking a highly skilled Digital Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing system Verilog RTL IP, logic, and state machines for next-generation products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and integrate system Verilog RTL IP, logic, and state machines for next-generation products
- Perform full chip integration and chip-level simulations to ensure optimal performance and power efficiency
- Estimate and track power, performance, and area (PPA) tradeoffs for RTL designs to meet product requirements
- Review and improve Static Timing Analysis (STA) results to ensure design integrity
- Maintain architecture documentation for IP to ensure clarity and consistency
- Create Verilog models of components to facilitate verification and validation
- Guide the verification team to ensure code coverage and quality
- Support validation during chip power-on and debug to ensure product reliability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 10+ years of professional experience
- Strong background in Digital RTL design, including industry-standard LEC, CDC, Lint, DFT, BIST, and STA tools
- Familiarity with industry-standard interface protocols such as I3C, I2C, and SMBus
- Familiarity with DDR5 DRAM, DIMM topology, and overall DIMM operation
- Ability to document design techniques, test, and verification methodology
- Python/perl script development experience
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interface with debug, test, product, and reliability engineers for product qualification and with application engineers for customer support
