Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Renesas Electronics Corporation. As a Software Engineer - Wireless Solutions, you will be responsible for providing hands-on software support for Low Power WiFi product line, working closely with our BU technical teams and providing turnkey support for key customers and the wider market in APAC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and debug software for complete customer product development cycle from product definition to production line test.
  • Provide deep level hands-on WiFi software/firmware customer support in elements such as debugging, code porting, code optimization, peripheral utilization and help customer fix issues and then move to mass production.
  • Customize reference designs from the Business unit to local customer needs.
  • Work closely with sales team, FAE, and customers to adapt Renesas technologies to new platforms and solutions.
  • Provide feedback to the product line on suggestions to improve deliverables: tools / device / architecture / reference designs.
  • Some on-site customer travel will be required.
Requirements
  • BSEE/BSCS or MSEE/MSCS, years of embedded software/firmware development experience using C/C++ programming languages.
  • Familiar with RTOS and Linux architectures, Linux Driver development is a strong plus.
  • Have a good technical understanding of Wi-Fi System.
  • Good understanding about WLAN spec and protocol.
  • Experienced in WiFi software stack development and debugging - device driver, kernel networking stacks, firmware.
  • Good at Packet analysis - MAC and TCP/IP level with Wireshark/OmniPeek tools.
  • Familiar with Arm Cortex M and connectivity interface: I2C, SPI, UART, SDIO, USB etc.
  • Team player and good interpersonal communication and writing skills in English.
  • Accountable with strong collaboration skills.
  • Customer centric and focus on the end result (getting customer to use Renesas device).
