Key Responsibilities- Install new equipment and create maintenance processes for all equipment in the plant, collaborating with process leaders.
- Monitor process performance using audits and data to confirm equipment meets expectations, working with operations and engineering teams to solve problems.
- Keep detailed maintenance metrics to identify areas for improvement and ensure strict compliance to schedules.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, working with operations to address root causes using rigorous methods.
- Support experiments where equipment modifications require maintenance teams.
- Deliver improvement projects to achieve objectives in quality, uptime, cost, and capacity.
- Support plant growth through equipment installation, documentation, and training, interacting with plant operations and engineering.
- Train operators, shift leaders, managers, and other engineers on maintenance best practices.
- BS or higher in mechanical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in mechatronics device development as a mechanical engineer.
- Project management and equipment development experience preferred.
- Experience in troubleshooting equipment, especially related to process issues, is a strong plus.
- Strong sense of safety, process control, and process discipline.
- Familiarity with mechanical design and root cause analysis ability.
- Skilled in CAD/Solid Works or related design software, with a strong hands-on ability.
- Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes and drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems of mechatronic devices and valves.
- Mastery of mechanical design of mechanical systems, common parts, hydraulic elements.
- Mastery of common standards of mechanical design and valves used in equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of common materials, mechanical processing, and assembly.
- Advanced knowledge of applying DFMEA and other common methodologies for technical analysis.
- Average knowledge of Lean and TPM development.
- Strong analytical skills, including spreadsheets and statistical software, with the ability to present analysis to groups.
- Good problem-solving ability with DMAIC, Lean, and Six-Sigma methods, with special emphasis on root cause analysis tools.
- Good oral and written English communication skills.
- Computer skills, including working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.
- Project experience with new equipment introduction, installation, and debugging.
- Familiarity with common mechanical simulation and the ability to use related software for analysis.
