Facility Shift Technician

Corning is seeking a skilled Facility Shift Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facility operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facility systems, including electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Execute operating plans to achieve team objectives and ensure the safe and efficient operation of facility systems.
- Conduct daily patrols and monitor facility systems to identify and address any issues or anomalies.
- Respond to emergency situations and take corrective action to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
- Build effective relationships with plant support groups and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
- Implement and document material, process, and equipment changes, and ensure compliance with established procedures and protocols.
- Execute documented operating procedures and follow established document control protocols.
- Protect Corning's intellectual property and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Implement training and certification plans to ensure personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Initiate improvement cases and participate in plant-side activities to drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
- College degree or above in electromechanical, electrical, HVAC, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or related field.
- High/low voltage electrician certificates, boiler operation certificate, and familiarity with FMCS & SCADA systems are preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience with programming and automation systems.
