Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Outdoor Product Designer to join our team in China. This role will be responsible for designing market-right products for the adidas brand within the BU Outdoor category.

About You

You will have a strong knowledge of fashion product design and industrial design principles. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Design: Develop creative solutions to concepts within a range, ensuring they align with the category direction.
  • Design Implementation: Execute the creative vision in a product range for the category.
  • Self-Management: Manage your own creative process, executing towards given design languages within the category.
  • Visual Language Execution: Execute design work according to the visual language of adidas as well as given Corporate Identity guidelines.
  • Communication: Verbally present product ideas and details with clarity.
  • Process Efficiency: Ensure efficient process and communication flow between design, marketing, and development for all issues regarding designed ranges and products.
  • Handover: Properly hand over sketches into development, submitting relevant information needed for the development process.
  • Idea Visualization: Visualize ideas for products and ranges with a high degree of expertise.

  • Marketing: Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Development: Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth execution of design concepts.
  • Team Members: Foster strong relationships with team members to ensure open communication and collaboration.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fashion Knowledge: Strong knowledge of fashion product design and industrial design principles.
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Product Development Knowledge: Good knowledge of product development, materials, and trims.
  • Creativity: High level of creativity and passion for design.
  • Software Skills: Knowledge and use of Macintosh computer design software/systems (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Estimated Salary Range: ¥150,000 - ¥250,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
