Procurement Commodity Analyst

Position Overview: The EMS Commodity Specialist will be stationed in TEK China and will report directly to the Senior EMS Commodity Manager. This role involves collaboration with the global EMS commodity management team and various cross-functional groups to assist EMS commodity managers in global dual sourcing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in build package clarification and costed BOM analysis.
  • Conduct quotation assessments and monitor supply chain readiness.
  • Oversee transfer project management and related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A college degree in Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in electrical or electronics procurement is essential.
  • Proficiency in purchasing functions, including material procurement, sourcing, and commodity management.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, negotiation, cost reduction, and inventory management, complemented by sound business acumen.
  • Experience in program or project management is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin, both oral and written.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with international suppliers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Capable of thriving in a cross-functional team environment.

Additional Information: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in interfacing with contract manufacturers. Due to export control regulations, candidates will need to provide proof of citizenship on their first day of work. All positions require access to Export Administration Regulations AT1 level technology, and a license may be necessary for certain countries. Tektronix encourages all applicants to apply.
