Job Summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a skilled Senior Sourcing Manager to lead our global category strategies and provide leadership to cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a significant level of relevant work experience and a college, university, or equivalent degree in a field appropriate for the function required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages sourcing and procurement strategies aimed at reducing cost, minimizing risk, and optimizing business processes.
  • Determines and helps businesses manage demand and supplier capacity.
  • Manages regional, category commodity, and/or new product sourcing procurement teams.
  • Promotes alignment of sourcing procurement strategy with business unit and supply chain goals.
  • Engages with new product/technology development functions to provide necessary support.
  • Identifies, plans, and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Built strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Validates sourcing and contract activities of sourcing teams.
  • Fosters communication among key procurement stakeholders across business units and functions.
  • Drives total cost TCO reductions across the entire supply chain.
  • Establishes procurement target process and oversees teams delivery against those targets.
  • Identifies opportunities and leads continuous improvement activities within key processes.
  • Leads, manages and coaches teams; provides active feedback and delivers recommendations for training and development opportunities among staff members.

Requirements:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in field appropriate for the function required.
  • Significant level of relevant work experience.
  • Licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Support supplier investment and development in South East Asia and deliver to global entities.
  • Develop potential supplier in South East Asia and help them to optimize process and supply competency product.
