The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategy and Operations Head to lead our research office in China. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for driving the growth and engagement of WorldQuant Brain's user base in mainland China and Hong Kong. Your key objectives will include:

  • Developing a comprehensive growth strategy for the China market
  • Collaborating with global leadership and WorldQuant's China Head to build the WQBrain brand
  • Creating business cases for new growth initiatives

Additionally, you will oversee operations, including user management, acquisition, onboarding, engagement, support, and lifecycle support. You will engage with internal and external partners to implement the growth plan and lead execution on key initiatives like promotions, competitions, and global initiatives.

What You'll Bring

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or advanced degree(s) from a leading university
  • Experience as a team leader
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • A self-starter mentality, with the ability to set up initiatives and see them through to completion without supervision
  • Proven positive impact on user onboarding, conversion, growth, or engagement metrics
  • Any of the following would be an added bonus: proven record of building/scaling a B2C business or online community, previous strategy consulting, history as an entrepreneur, or experience in the quant or finance domains
