About the Role

The Senior Designer will be part of our architecture studio, working on large, high-end, and custom design projects. As a design leader, you will provide excellent service to clients, both on design and delivery, and continually provide design solutions to improve design quality. You will represent Gensler's architecture design to clients and the design community, mentor designers in their careers, and work profitably for the firm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with clients, conduct meetings, and present designs.
  • Develop programming, consulting, strategic planning, conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production.
  • Lead and monitor the architectural design team.
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Coordinate with the technical team.
  • Participate in business development efforts.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience, including a proven track record of leading the design of large-scale projects, such as corporate headquarters, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
  • BArch/MArch or foreign equivalent, Architectural licensed.
  • Must understand trends in large, shell/core architectural design.
  • Possess high-level visual and verbal communication skills and high-level freehand and rendering skills.
  • Have the ability to mentor team members, offer guidance, and leadership.
  • Be capable of using 2D/3D software, including AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the total project process, including fee and team management, schedules, and budgets.
  • REVIT is a plus.
