Therapeutic Specialist I

We are seeking a highly skilled Therapeutic Specialist I to join our team. As a Therapeutic Specialist I, you will play a critical role in the discovery and development of life-changing scientific innovations. You will be responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory, and representing Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base within a specific geographic area.

• Responsible for achieving coverage and frequency targets, and consistently achieving sales targets in assigned territory.
• Represents Gilead's products and services to a defined customer base within a specific geographic area.
• Utilizes a level of product and therapeutic disease working knowledge to promote the appropriate use of Gilead products to healthcare professionals.
• Prepares business plan for own territory, assigns targets and communicates required actions to achieve goals.
• With guidance, initiates systems to monitor sales progress and action plans.
• Prepares territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
• May work in collaboration with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
• May represent company at professional events and promote company products at such events.
• Works cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing and other internal Gilead team members on various cross-functional projects related to specific accounts or physicians.
• Works as an individual contributor.
• Built and extends business relationships with key customers or accounts.
• Assists in the identification and resolution of issues and opportunities, and communicates proactively to marketing and sales management.
• Completes necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner, e.g. updating customer database, expenses, etc.

• 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a focus on therapeutic areas such as HIV, viral hepatitis, COVID-19, and oncology.
• Proven expertise in academic and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong understanding of professional academic promotion models.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
• Strong business acumen, with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and market trends.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
