Job Description

At Corning, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure the highest quality standards in our products.

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for managing quality systems, developing processes to prevent quality problems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions. You will also conduct routine audits and data analysis to identify potential risks and implement preventive measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain quality metrics and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Proven track record of improving quality metrics and reducing defects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • APQP/PPAP certification.
  • Experience with digital tools such as Power BI and statistical analysis tools like Minitab and JMP.
  • Six Sigma belts.
About the Role

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
