About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Market Analyst to join our China Plastics team in Chemical Market Analytics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing in-depth market analysis and insights to our clients in the plastics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary research and analysis on the China plastics market, including market dynamics, producer capacities, supply/demand balance information, trade balances, pricing, production costs, and individual company analysis.
  • Develop and maintain a fundamental working understanding of CMA's basic model templates, including supply/demand, econometric price forecasts, and trade grids.
  • Provide regular neutral and objective price inputs and written analysis for Market Advisory Service reports.
  • Actively pursue and develop unique analytical approaches that provide value to CMA Chemical clients and potential clients.
  • Regularly interface with global Market Advisory Services team members to ensure analysis consistency.

Requirements:

  • Ten or more years of chemical industry experience, including experience related to the polyethylene and polypropylene.
  • University degree required, with a chemical engineering or chemistry degree preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including fluency in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability and willingness to establish and maintain personal relationships and develop a high degree of trust at multiple levels within a client's organization.
