Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team at Corning. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting online equipment to meet manufacturing performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and troubleshoot online equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement control logic and flow to improve production operations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to achieve performance improvement targets, including equipment reliability and capability improvement.
  • Participate in process equipment and automation projects, including new technology migration and hardware/software specification, design, fabrication, installation, and testing.
  • Advanced PLC, HMI, integration, and automation skills are required.
  • Manage design changes and prepare procedure documents, technical reports, and SOP/SOS documents.
  • Establish control system improvements and develop efficient production technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Chemical, or Physical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • Familiarity with Mitsubishi PLC and HMI applications.
  • Experience with equipment control system design and electrical control components.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Proficiency in Windows Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Robot Application (Fanuc robot).
  • Strong ownership of achieving plant goals.
  • Sense of urgency and creativity to handle project issues and adapt plans to meet objectives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and be a change agent to help others through change.
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity and customer focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and positive working attitude in a team environment.
