Senior Engineer of In-Vehicle Infotainment Systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership

As a Technical Lead of IVI Development, you will be responsible for leading the technical development of in-vehicle infotainment functions teams, ensuring they align with industry standards and customer requirements.

System Architecture and Design

  • Design and define system and software architecture for IVI applications, ensuring robustness, scalability, and performance.

Integration and Collaboration

  • Oversee the integration of speech recognition functions into the infotainment system, enhancing the user experience through voice control features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and UX/UI designers, to ensure seamless integration of infotainment functions.

Technical Expertise and Innovation

  • Stay updated with technological advancements in IVI, speech recognition, and related fields to inform strategic decisions and innovations.

Team Management and Development

  • Conduct code reviews, provide guidance, and mentor team members to maintain high-quality standards in software development.

Project Management and Delivery

  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring milestones are met and expectations are aligned with stakeholders.

Communication and Collaboration

  • Work closely with Porsche headquarter R&D and Porsche Engineering Shanghai teams, exchange the development status on a regular basis.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or technical computer science.
  • Experience
  • 8 years of working experience in automotive companies, OEM, or 1st tier.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proven experience in technical leadership roles, particularly in in-vehicle infotainment systems.
  • Strong knowledge of system architecture and software architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with speech recognition technologies and their integration into software applications.
  • Personal Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Basic knowledge about IT backend.
