We are seeking a highly skilled Video Codec Algorithm Engineer to join our team at Zoom. As a key member of our research and development team, you will be responsible for researching and developing video compression algorithms/video encoder/decoder to improve real-time video quality and performance on our products.
Key Responsibilities:- Research the latest video compression technologies to develop innovative solutions.
- Design and implement video compression algorithms to improve video quality and reduce latency.
- Possess strong skills in the areas of development and real-time implementation of video encoder/decoder.
- Participate in the design and development of Zoom video products.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience in video coding techniques (traditional method and deep learning method).
- Strong experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.
- Experience with video coding standards such as HEVC, and AV1.
- Solid knowledge of math, including linear algebra, numerical optimization, calculus, etc.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
